Flying Wandering Albatross, Prion Island, South Georgia, South Atlantic. The Wandering Albatross is the largest of the albatrosses and has the largest wingspan of any bird of up to 3.5 metres. The Wandering Albatross is listed as vulnerable(IUCN Red List) as a result of accidental death from fatal injury with ?long liners fishing vessels? in the fishing industry and though water pollution which affects their habitat. The total annual breeding population is estimated at 8,500 pairs.
